Overview:

We are seeking therapists who share our commitment to making a difference in the lives of children and families in our RBHS program. Candidates must live or be willing to travel to the following areas: Greenville, Mauldin, Simpsonville, Taylors, Greer, Travelers Rest, Piedmont, and Fountain Inn.

As an Intensive In-Home Mental Health Professional, you will provide one-on-one behavior therapy to children in their homes, while supporting families to encourage, model, and teach appropriate behaviors in the community and at home.

This is a part-time W2 position with flexible scheduling. You will create your own schedule; however, some evenings and/or weekends may be required to meet the family's needs. This unique way of working allows clinicians the opportunity to offer a high level of collaboration, coordination, and intensive behavioral health services.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the implementation of treatment plan goals developed by therapist, family, and referring agency
  • Provide intensive behavioral therapy and direct intervention to children and adolescents in their homes such as Behavior Modification, Psychosocial Rehabilitation, and/or Family Support.
  • Help eliminate problematic behaviors and promote appropriate behaviors and healthy life skills in accordance with the families treatment plan.
  • Strengthen independent living skills, self-care skills, hygiene skills, enhance interpersonal relationships, and improve communication.
  • Models and provides psycho-education in the areas of effective parenting, communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution
  • Provide crisis intervention when needed at school, at home, and/or in the community.
  • Communicates regularly with the LPHA regarding progress or hindrances towards meeting identified goals
  • Maintain consistent and regular attendance while providing services either in the families home or in other community settings at times most beneficial to the identified client and their families
  • Maintain confidentiality of all clients and professional conduct at all times.
  • Complete all Clinical Service Notes and documentation needed for billing in an accurate and timely manner according to the regulatory body standards including Medicaid.
  • Participate in and attend all training and supervision meetings.

Qualifications/Experience/Education

  • Must possess at least a bachelor's degree in psychology or related field (Master's degree is preferred)
  • Must have at least 1-year of experience working with children and families.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
  • Ability to work well independently and as a team
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
  • Knowledge of child and adolescent development
  • Knowledge of effective parenting skills and the ability to teach those skills to clients
  • Knowledge of cultural differences and the ability to be effective with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds
