Job Title: IT Field Specialist
Location: Various Locations, SC (This is not a remote position)

Position Summary:
IT Field Specialists responsibilities are to maintain and improve the technical systems of Cooperative Health to ensure all employees have the technology they need to complete their work. The IT Field Specialist will ensure that the organization’s important files and information remain safe and intact. In addition, the IT Field Specialist installs, maintains and repairs products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at the client and/or field locations. Instructs customers in equipment operation, provides technical assistance, performs preventative maintenance, troubleshoots equipment for malfunctions to eliminate problem in minimum time.
Principal Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
- Reviews diagnostics and assess the functionality and efficiency of systems.
- Implements security measures for IT and email.
- Monitors security certificates and company compliance of requirements.
- Offers technical support to company staff and troubleshoot computer problems.
- Installs and updates company software and hardware as needed.
- Anticipates and reports the cost of replacing or updating computer items.
- Installs, upgrades and removes products ensuring coordinative engineering field change.
- Assembles, installs and configures systems and equipment in accordance with site assessments and schematics.
- Completes system programming and optimization as part of the installation process.
- Completes final commissioning and integrated acceptance testing of computer systems, pharmacy systems and associated equipment.
- Performs routine system maintenance and analysis functions, including hardware configurations and adding, removing and replacing equipment components.
- Travels frequently to customer sites in performance of duties. Will spend 80% of their time out of the office.
- The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Updates knowledge and skills to keep up with rapid advancements in computer technology.
- Tests and verifies hardware and support peripherals to ensure that they meet specifications and requirements, by recording and analyzing test data.
- Monitors functioning of equipment and make necessary modifications to ensure the system operates in conformance with specifications.
- Analyzes user needs and recommend appropriate hardware.
- Handle customer support calls in a timely and accurate manner.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required.
- A+ Certification
- Microsoft certifications, preferred.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Must be able and willing to drive to all four counties (Fairfield, Lexington, Newberry, Richland) covered by Cooperative Health.
- Reliable transportation.
