Job description

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for extracting crude materials such as barite and bentonite from mines.
• Operates heavy and mobile equipment used in mining operations, monitors performance and performs maintenance and troubleshooting in the mine environment, as required.
• Operate mining production equipment in a safe, efficient and compliant manner. Report deviations to mine management.
• Maintain a safe, clean, environmentally sound work area.
• Communicate with coworkers and management.
• Ensure equipment is maintained in optimal condition using preventative maintenance systems.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Must live in or around Battle Mountain OR are willing to move to or around Battle Mountain at their own expense
• Must fluently read, write, and speak English
• Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the US without sponsorship.
