We have an exciting opportunity to join BSA as a Manager, Corporate Communications.
**
*POSITION SUMMARY*
The Manager, Corporate Communications is responsible for executing communication initiatives, working across multiple integrated platforms to develop comprehensive strategic plans with measureable goals that are concentrated on strengthening, protecting and maintaining a consistent voice for the health system.
This role is focused on producing, managing and measuring external, internal and executive communications as an integral part of BSA’s marketing team. This is accomplished by relationship development with media, successful message and content development and storytelling through written copy, videos and other interactive media. Additionally, the Communications Manager will be involved in assisting the Director with managing projects and the overall day-to-day responsibilities of the department.
The successful candidate will be a versatile, self-driven, reliable team member and detail-oriented manager comfortable with communications planning and implementation for healthcare facilities.
Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain relationships through contact with local and regional media, community/business leaders and BSA leadership.
• Work closely with marketing staff to accurately write and distribute press releases, branding collateral and other copy for service-line promotion.
• Plan and implement employee app content, employee newsletter content, website content and social media content.
• Proactively gather and produce news and information for media releases, web news and other pages, repurposing information for social media and internal communications.
• Maintain accurate earned media reporting using the Meltwater platform.
• Gather and report regional healthcare news and events.
• Demonstrate ability to manage issues and crises.
• Show attention to detail in all facets.
• Understand social media as an evolving avenue for direct-to-user communications and public relations.
• As needed, assist in creation of videos, traditional and new media to reach external audiences.

Qualifications: Education and Experience:

• The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, English, Journalism, Public Relations or related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in public relations, media relations or communications is required.
• Knowledge of healthcare institutions and operations is desirable.
• Excellent copywriting, editing and proofreading skills across a variety of media for multiple audiences.
• Experience should include news writing, speechwriting, employee communications and proofreading.
