We are looking for a dynamic, results-driven Manager, Talent Acquisition Operations reporting to the VP of Talent Acquisition (TA). This position can be located at our Tacoma, WA, or Santa Clara, CA, office or remote for an ideal candidate. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring all our new hires enjoy a world-class onboarding experience that will reinforce their decision to become a Bloxer. You will use your expertise in full-cycle recruiting and operations to implement best practices, as well as improve upon existing processes. You will manage a global team of 10, consisting of program managers, recruiting coordinators, and schedulers in different time zones.
You’re the ideal candidate if you are an experienced, detail-oriented TA Operations leader who enjoys solving business process problems as well as discovering ways to improve the onboarding experience. You are skilled at program/project management, and developing teams. You focus on the positive and take pride in being a high-energy team player who is cooperative, self-motivated, courteous, and always with a professional attitude while bringing fun to the team.
What you’ll do:
- Provide leadership and direction to the Global TA Operations team, including ongoing development through mentoring and coaching experiences
- Participate as a leader and operations/programs expert on the Global TA leadership team, adopting an agile approach to ensure we are innovating and continuously improving our process, systems, and tools
- Develop deep subject matter expertise in our business processes, systems, tools, and products to develop strategies that build upon improving existing processes
- Gain insights from multiple data sources to use when creating compelling recommendations that advance the TA organization’s strategy
- Automate and improve the onboarding process on a worldwide basis, making it both simple and rewarding for new employees and their managers
- Automate and improve the contingent workforce process for compliance with ACA and SOX
- Identify opportunities for improvement and implement approved recommendations
- Oversee the company’s affirmative action program to ensure our hiring practices are aligned with achieving overall parity with EEO/AAP goals
- Oversee the background check process and manage the team that conducts candidate background checks
- Participate at a team level on broader team projects and initiatives to enhance recruiting effectiveness
- Leverage, analyze, and develop recruiting reports
- Manage the employee referral program and payment process
What you’ll bring:
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive HR functional leadership or operational leadership experience, including international HR experience
- 3+ years of experience leading and managing a global team
- Experience with optimizing global programs, including contingent workforce, background verifications, employee referrals, and internal talent deployment
- Ability to effectively drive efficiencies through technologies, process, and workflow
- Ability to create and achieve a desired future state (vision) through influence on company values, individuals, and group goals
- Superior organizational skills for managing a large number of projects and competing priorities
- Amazing attention to detail and knack for solving/improving business processes
- Proven relationship and consultative skills—with candidates, hiring managers, and key business partners with the ability to influence, inform, and negotiate
- Ability to effectively communicate with all kinds of people and understand, actively listen, and relay information to others
- Effective management style, including a strong collaborative team environment with high employee engagement
- Unflappability—remaining calm under pressure, making effective decisions in difficult times, and maintaining a positive can-do attitude
What success looks like:
After six months, you will…
- Understand the end-to-end hiring and onboarding process
- Be able to perform all roles within the TA Ops team
- Set SLAs for the team and ensure they meet them
- Review all outbound communications for accuracy and timeliness
- Set an inspiring vision for the TA Ops team
- Build trust and rapport with all TA Ops members
After about a year, you will…
- Understand and file our AAP plan
- Manage TA Ops team to an 85% or higher engagement score
- Hold career and development conversations with all TA Ops members
- Develop a process for reviewing and ensuring minimal data errors on employee data entry
- Providing and implementing recommendations for process improvements
- Complete management fundamentals courses and apply what you learn
