We’re looking for an enthusiastic Ingram associate to join the Training team as Marine Training Partner. This position will be based in Paducah, KY and responsible for training and developmental programs for Marine associates, including New Hire Deckhand Orientation.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Ingram associate to join the Training team as Marine Training Partner. This position will be based in Paducah, KY and responsible for training and developmental programs for Marine associates, including New Hire Deckhand Orientation.
What you will be doing:
- Collaborating with Operations, Crewing, HRBP, Recruiting and Safety departments to develop and deliver shore-based training for Marine associates, to include New Hire Deckhand Orientation and 1st Aid/CPR
- Tracking associates progress after training to analyze results and make changes to improve effectiveness
- Actively participating in onboarding and retention efforts for marine associates
- Establishing and maintaining a training environment that reflects a culture of Ingram as an “Employer of Choice” and the Ingram Way
- Supporting selection of marine associates to assist in instructing training classes.
- Indirectly supervising and effectively leading marine associates assisting with training
- Overseeing marine training budget
- Inventory, order and maintain training materials and IMG Training Center supplies
- Conducting vessel visits and Observation Audits to evaluate new hire progress and overall effectiveness of training and onboarding programs
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilites
- High School diploma required
- 6+ years of experience required
- Must be able to work 12 hours daily, for a maximum of 4 consecutive days, and some of these hours will require training outside during New Hire Orientation
- Must be able to lift 100lbs.
- Must have the physical ability to transit all work environments for vessel and facility docks
- Comprehensive knowledge of job responsibilities for all deck crew positions
- Proven effective trainer
- Ability to teach and promote Ingram’s safety systems and culture through felt leadership
- Highly effective communicator and coach
- Ability to make continuous improvement and serve as a change agent
- Self-directed, strategic, and able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Ability to work occasional weekends
- Ability to travel, to include overnight approximately 20% of the time
