We are seeking a Medical Billing and Coding Specialist to join our team!

A medical coding and billing specialist acts as a liaison between the medical office and insurance companies.

Responsibilities:

A coding and billing specialist helps the healthcare facility manage insurance claims, invoices, and payments. The day-to-day work of a medical coding and billing specialist includes:

• Properly coding services, procedures, diagnoses, and treatments
• Preparing and sending invoices or claims for payment
• Correcting rejected claims
• Tracking payments
• Following up with patients and insurance companies about outstanding bills
• Additional responsibilities as per management discretion

The ideal candidate will exhibit high standards, excellent communication skills, and have the ability to take initiative, and prioritize daily tasks. A strong ability to take charge and meet deadlines will ensure your success in this multi-faceted role.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Billing and Coding certifications and experience.
• Strong interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills
• Ability to multitask
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
• Fluent in Spanish is ideal

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
