A healthcare corporation is teaming up with Team1Medical to seek a Medical Director to join their team in the Memorial City area. The Medical Director will manage their client’s health plan medical costs, and strategy development, and ensure members are credited with the appropriate health care delivery plan. Medical Director’s Responsibilities
- Oversee the utilization management team to review applicable documentation and use industry criteria
- Manage the Pharmacy operations and work with leadership on the formulary, STARs, and MTM strategies
- Support Network Management in the contracting, delegation, credentialing, and contract support functions
- Provide medical guidance to the Medical Management department
- Contribute to the development of planning for existing and expanding business
- Monitor member and provider satisfaction, recommends and implements changes to improve satisfaction levels
- Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathy (Certified by the American Board of Medical Specialists)
- 10 years of clinical experience in the practice of medicine
- Utilization management experience and knowledge of quality accreditation standards preferred
- Actively practices medicine and provides leadership in the local medical community
- Experience in Health Administration, Health Financing, Insurance, and/or Personnel Management is preferred
- Experience treating or managing care for a culturally diverse population preferred
- Located near Memorial City mall with endless shopping and restaurants to dine in
- Business casual atmosphere offering an in-office kitchen facility

- Hybrid work schedule Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm
