We are looking to hire an Order Picker. This position is responsible for picking customer orders, utilizing an RF scanner, and preparing orders for shipment.

The ideal candidate has previous work experience in a distribution warehouse.

The position is located in our Memphis Warehouse location to support that user group and will report to the Warehouse Supervisor.

Detailed Responsibilities:

• Reads customer order, work order, or shipping order to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed

• Utilizes RF Scanner and transfers items from storage to other designated areas

• Scans and assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department using pallet jack and shrink wrap machine

• Marks materials with identifying labels

• Scans and records amount of materials or items received or distributed

• Prepares orders for shipment

• Meets or exceeds established measurement standard

• Required to meet established production requirements

• Performs other warehouse duties as needed

• Must be willing and able to work overtime hours as assigned

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or equivalent education required

• At least six (6) months of related experience in a warehouse environment

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and effectively present information to other employees of the organization

• Possess basic math skills

• Experience with RF Scanners is preferred but will train

LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY:

• Interact regularly and follow up with internal and external parties based on direction of management, presents information for decision making to manager, and the requires ability to independently manage their own daily tasks and projects as assigned by management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• This position does not supervise employees.
