Position Summary:
The Product Support Analyst responsibilities are mainly two-fold, on the one hand he/she performs middle office tasks and controls for the trading desk and on the other, he/she assists bankers and advisors on proper policies, procedures, controls, and documentation for various product needs. In supporting the Trading Desk, the Product Support Analyst helps to mitigate operational risk across multiple product lines both on the banking & advisory side as well as treasury. Finally, the role has a strong client service role as he/she serves as liaison with all internal areas within Products and all the external departments within BPI.
The Products Support Analyst reports to the Sr. Product Support Team Leader.
Position Duties / Responsibilities
- Handling call/emails and liaising with other departments to address banker/advisor and Treasury team issues. Assisting bankers & advisors regarding the operating procedures for trading, as well as those related to treasury team executions. Training in all aspects relating to trading and proper operating procedures, documentation, and controls.
- Monitor and review all trade confirmations from counterparties to ensure accuracy and maintain for bank record keeping
- Booking of all interest rate swap and cross currency swap trades in MUREX
- Support the team with account setup needs and security master data
- Support Bankers with Forex documentation process (ECP, ISDA, Credit lines)
- Documentation and raise incidences and trading errors
- Trade reconciliation between various systems
- Create and monitor multiple internal reports to ensure accuracy and compliance (liquidity, Volcker, rates input, income, P/L, risk metrics)
- Broker review and new broker approval process
- Trade reconciliation between Bloomberg and T24
- Documentation and raise incidences and trading errors
- Support bankers with account opening process and approvals
- Broker review and new broker approval process
- Assist Bankers with pre-trade check compliance (Suitability, documentation, security master setup, Risk metrics)
- Monitor and follow-up with Bankers regarding upcoming expiry of options
- Maintain CMGR compliance rules in Bloomberg
- Activate and Deactivate client portfolios in Bloomberg PORT
- Execute Proxy process for Suitability VAR metrics
- Monitor and review all trade confirmations from counterparties to ensure accuracy and maintain for bank record keeping
- Communication to accounting for FX and Futures
- Daily reconciliation of positions
- Upload of cash inflows and outflows daily
- Corporate actions position adjustments
- Assisting bankers and advisors with policies and procedures during system outages to ensure all checks and controls are performed prior to trading
- Maintaining policies and procedures to ensure these checks remain current and comprehensive
Specialized Knowledge
- Previous experience in the Operations department and thorough understanding of security related processes
- Existing knowledge and experience of the Security Master functionalities
- Understanding of Murex and Globus operating system and functionalities
- Experience using Bloomberg is preferred
Education: Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience
Business Experience: 5-7 years of relevant experience or demonstrated required level of proficiency
Technical Knowledge: Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Languages: Spanish, English

Working Conditions: Frequent Minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing and walking. Occassional moving and lifting equipment and furniture is required to support onsite and offsite meeting setup and teardown. Physically capable of lifting up to fifty pounds, able to bend, kneel, climb ladders.
