Job summary
Amazon is seeking a curious, high-judgment, and self-motivated communications professional to join our Amazon Workplace PR team. This individual will support the North American field communications team, with a focus on sourcing and developing activities and storytelling opportunities that can be executed at the hyper-local level.

To be successful in this role, you will have strong project management, writing, and media relations skills. You have a talent for collaboration and the ability to think creatively while supporting the execution of proactive programs. You must be flexible, detail-oriented, and adapt to new challenges. You communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in written materials. You excel at meeting milestones and deadlines, implementing mechanisms to improve processes, and identifying key trends with PR recommendations.

This role can be located in Seattle, WA; San Francisco, CA; Boston, MA; Atlanta, GA; Chicago, IL; Austin, TX; New York City, NY; Los Angeles, CA; Nashville, TN; Minneapolis, MN; or the Washington, D.C. area.

Key job responsibilities

• Work cross-functionally with multiple internal stakeholders to execute proactive programs.
• Manage complex, fast-moving reputation issues with high judgment and professionalism.
• Effectively and concisely summarize and report PR results to key PR and business stakeholders.
• Collaborate with an agency to support PR activities.
• Solid media relations experience
• Experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders, including senior leadership
• Passion for processes and mechanisms
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
• A talent for collaboration and working independently
• Experience delivering results with high standards under tight deadlines
• Exceptional writing abilities
• Creativity, flexibility, and ability to navigate ambiguity are a must.
