Job Description Summary:
Perform a variety of complex technical duties involved in conducting physical, chemical, biological and other research laboratory tests, experiments and determinations to obtain data for research purposes; compile, analyze, document and draw tentative conclusions from experimental results. Confer with principal investigator to review work assignments and develop plans for research experiments; make minor modifications to existing laboratory procedures and techniques to meet the needs of the particular equipment as required. Review laboratory methods manual, scientific journals, abstracts and other literature for information applicable to research experiments.

Education : Associate degree, plus four years related work experience OR experience may substitute for degree on a year for year basis.
Work Experience : Knowledge of FDA regulations, ICH-GCP guidelines and KUMC policies and practices.
Skills : Excellent communication skills as evidenced by application materials and interview. Ability to work independently with moderate direct supervision. Demonstrated ability to multitask

Job Duties Outlined:
Recruit human subjects and follow procedures for protection of human subjects in research. Pre-screening lists of people to contact as potential research participants.
Contacting potential volunteers, screening them, scheduling them and communicating with volunteers and research staff regarding scheduling of research participants.
Communicating with clinics, O2 analysts, KC Star, TrialFacts and other advertising venues.
Adhere to safety and compliance guidelines.
Enter, manage and report research data as assigned.
Perform a variety of routine tasks related to the monitoring of research subjects or to the research environment.
