Summary:
- Responsible for performing preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance to equipment, machines, and all associated support equipment at the yard location.
- This position will work closely with operations, maintenance, environmental, or some combination of all.
Essential Job Functions:
- Able to work in a drug-free workplace.
- Knowledgeable in basic hand tools and proper use.
- Knowledgeable of the proper inspection, removal, installation, alignment, and lubrication of bearings, gears, belts, conveyors, and chains.
- Must be willing and able to work with heavy equipment when needed.
- Able to troubleshoot and repair the following: electrical systems, hydraulic systems, various cylinders, valves, accumulators, and pumps.
- Perform assignments in a timely manner.
- Work autonomously or act as an effective team member, exhibiting good interpersonal skills.
- Able to communicate effectively with team members as well as non-maintenance personnel.
- Learn and work in accordance with company procedures and policies, as well as safety and environmental rules and guidelines.
- Must be comfortable working at heights.

- Minimum 3 - 5 years of maintenance experience, preferred.
- Able to troubleshoot and repair the following: electrical systems, hydraulic systems, various cylinders, valves, accumulators, and pumps.
- Strong analytical skills and theoretical background in mechanical systems.
- Industrial mill, shredder, or mining experience preferred.
- Excellent written, organization, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Problem-solving skills are required.
- Basic computer skills are required.
- Ability to weld required.
- Must have own tools.

- The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and outdoor weather conditions.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Work Hours:
- The employee will work a 40+ hour work week, Monday - Friday, Saturdays scheduled with production needs.
- The shift can range from either 4:00 am - 1:30 pm or 11:00 am - 8:30 pm.
- Overtime will be required to meet the needs of the production goals.
