SUMMARY OF POSITION

Pixelberry Studios is looking for a passionate, eclectic, knowledgeable Software Engineer in Unity, to help us develop our future. You’ll be writing and maintaining features alongside the rest of the engineering team, as well as communicating with other departments when necessary.

Our headquarters are in Mountain View, CA but we can accommodate a remote work environment for a candidate from the following states: California, Colorado, Florida, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Texas, and Washington.

Currently, all Pixelberry staff work remotely with the option to work in-office, if desired.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop games in C# with Unity
• Participate in all aspects of the project lifecycle, from design to release
• Design, code, unit test, and maintain codebases that work at scale for millions of users
• Develop fun, innovative game features played by millions
• Contribute to a good engineering culture through code reviews and architecture planning

REQUIREMENTS

• Computer Science degree, or equivalent work experience
• Solid foundational programming skills (algorithms, data structures, OOP, etc.)
• Advanced debugging skills, involving multithreading, memory leaks, etc.
• 3+ years of combined demonstrable experience in Unity (point us toward your portfolio, if you have one) or a mix of Unity and relevant engineering experience
• Experience working as part of a lean, agile engineering team
• Desire to deliver well-tested code
• Good communication skills
• A passion for games, and an understanding of how they work
• U.S. work authorization
