Job Summary:
Lead site Procurement team, aligning with Category Management and Local Product Growth Team, to develop and execute Procurement Strategy. Accountable for successful completion of Procurement Strategy & associated projects within responsible plant. Accountable for team’s utilization of standard work including project tracking and documentation. Responsible for location’s Procurement goals and metrics including addressing any gaps in achieving goals. Ensure alignment of commodity strategies with portfolio and plant strategies/requirements.
This position will be on-site at our La Crosse, WI facility.
Job Responsibilities:

Work with Portfolio Procurement Leader, Category Management, and local Product Growth Team to develop and execute Procurement Strategy; driving through formal Strategy A3.

Participate in local Product Growth team ensuring Supply Chain has representation within strategic planning and decision making.

Site responsibility to lead local Procurement Team, providing coaching and direction. Accountable for successful completion of Procurement projects within responsible plant.

Accountable for understanding and representing Procurement projects, including cost and benefits, across all commodities. Responsible for aligning PPM and functional resources to maximize Procurement benefits.

Accountable for team’s utilization of standard work including project tracking and documentation. Actively engaged with team members to eliminate roadblocks and escalate issues appropriately.

Accountable for documenting and communicating all significant project changes to Procurement and PGT leadership teams.

Ensure alignment of commodity strategies with PGT and plant strategies/requirements. Responsible for sharing plant and PGT specific strategies with commodity teams. Partner with commodity teams to ensure plant leadership understanding of commodity strategies.

Responsible for Procurement participation in plant or product Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) or Major Model Review (MMR) events. Work with functional leaders to determine appropriate Procurement resources, both PPM and commodity, to support event.

Ensure Supply Chain Resilience standard work is followed and align with Category Management and PGT on project prioritization to mitigate supply risk.

Active participant in sector/plant productivity gate reviews ensuring that required cross-functional resources are allocated to execute projects as outlined. Partner with Commodity teams to assist with projects charter, benefits, and resource requirements.
Qualifications:

Master's degree preferred, Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience required.

A minimum of 6 years of experience working in a diversified industrial company in the areas of Supply Chain, Engineering, Project Management, Quality, Finance and/or Operations.

Strong Analytic experience.

Working knowledge of six sigma tools, lean manufacturing a plus.

Experience in International sourcing experience a plus.

Experience in supplier development, materials management, and/or supplier quality a plus.

Must be a strategic thinker and have demonstrated experience driving strategies.

Experience running large complex cross functional projects.
-
Global project management experience a plus.

Oracle experience in a global environment is beneficial.

Ability to travel up to 20%.

Problem Solving—Identifies/anticipates potential problems, supports root cause analysis, evaluates robustness of corrective action plan and oversees plan implementation.

Relationship Management – Creates collaborative environment with cross-functional partners, assures regular/appropriate two-way communication flow, builds/maintains relationship with industry peers and suppliers, and reinforces GSC lead on "Trane voice” to the supply base.

Base Pay Range: $130,000-185,000
