BAE Systems is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator to join our team supporting the Department of Defense (DoD) High Performance Computing (HPC) Modernization Program (DoD HPCMP) and the U.S. Army Research Laboratory (ARL) DoD Supercomputing Resource Center (DSRC) located at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.
We are seeking Linux Systems Administrators to support client-server-based IT enterprise in installation, configuration, and networking of Linux based servers. Will oversee servers running Red Hat, CentOS, SuSe, and Virtual Appliances. Applicant should be familiar with installation, configuration, and maintenance of Linux Servers.
A successful candidate should be customer service oriented, attentive to detail, self-motivated and work well in teams. Flexibility in approach to finding solutions, the ability to understand and act on the customer needs and priorities and learn new technologies quickly. You will also need to be willing to respond to occasional off-hours outages and take part in subsequent service restoration efforts.
The selected system administrator will work with a team of engineers to review and define configurations, create automation scripts to deploy and configure network assets, review, and deploy software applications, and provide support for testing, demonstration, and technical interchange meetings to include troubleshooting, patching, hardening, and configuration management.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Fully Adjudicated Secret with Interim Top Secret to Start or current active TS: Note: Program will Sponsor Top Secret Security Clearance for right candidate with Fully Adjudicated Secret.
- DoD 8570 IAT II (or better) Certification (i.e. Security+)
- OS Software Certification (i.e. Linux+) (Required within 6 months of start date)
