In order to protect our employees and continue to provide safe and reliable service to our communities, as of November 14, 2021 we are requiring all new MTA hires to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to their start date. MTA will consider exceptions for religious and medical reasons, where appropriate. “Fully vaccinated” means you must have both doses of a 2-dose vaccine and two weeks have elapsed since the second dose, or have received 1 dose of a 1-dose vaccine and two weeks have elapsed since the dose. Proof of your vaccination status in the form of a CDC vaccine card must be submitted prior to your start date.

Compensation


Salary Range:

Technical Support Aide IA: $41,519-$51,134 (Represented by TWU)
Technical Support Aide IB: $44,752-$57,976 (Represented by TWU)
Technical Support Aide II: $49,581-$69,842 (Represented by TWU)
Technical Support Aide III: $54,514-$74,416 (Represented by TWU)


Responsibilities


This position involves performing tasks related to the processing of subpoenas, court-ordered documents, and HIPAA authorization for employment-related and medical records regarding New York City Transit employees and Access-A-Ride customers.

  • Responsible for the receipt, data entry, processing, and responding of high-volume Subpoenas and HIPAA Authorizations for employment-related and medical records regarding New York City Transit employees.
  • Hand delivers or arranges for the delivery of essential records to the various court clerks throughout the city.
  • Prepares invoices for photocopies of requested records while verifying and collecting the fees charged.
  • Prepares routine memos, correspondence, confidential and sensitive documents in response to legal request from the Assistant District Attorney’s offices and all other Legal Government Agency.
  • Maintains files and keeps track of important personnel documents.
  • Must exercise a high degree of independent judgment, discretion, and tact in dealing with persons at all levels of the MTA organization.
  • Performs all other clerical and administrative tasks as requested by the manager.


Education and Experience


  • Graduate from a senior high school or evidence of having passed an examination for a high school equivalency diploma and one (1) year of satisfactory full-time, paid clerical experience; or

  • A satisfactory equivalent.

  • Computer research proficiency using internet and other computer resources
  • Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Outlook
