Job Title: Accounting Manager
Job Status: Full Time/Salary/Exempt
Location: Las Vegas, NV
Reports to: Director of Accounting
Salary: Commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications
Summary:
The Accounting Manager supervises and coordinates the activities of the accounting team. The manager will analyze financial information and prepare financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within the organization.
The ideal candidate should have 5+ years of accounting experience and excellent leadership skills to be a front line supervisor to the accounting team. A successful applicant must have strong time management skills to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines. As an accounting professional, attention to detail is expected.
Essential Job Functions
- Plan, manage, and direct the day-to-day accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounting.
- Supervise the work of 3-5 accounting team members to ensure adherence to quality standards, deadlines, and proper procedures.
- Train or instruct employees in job duties or company policies or arrange for training to be provided.
- Resolve customer (internal/external) complaints and respond to customers' questions regarding financial policies and procedures.
- Prepare, examine, and/or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance with GAAP.
- Communicate with and prepare documentation for auditors.
- Oversee banking for 12+ bank accounts, including deposits, bank reconciliations, and cash flow management.
- Review journal entries and account reconciliations utilizing knowledge of GAAP.
- Communication with senior management regarding accounting and financial reporting matter

Requirements, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- Mathematics — Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, statistics, and their applications.
- Economics and Accounting — Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, banking, and the analysis and reporting of financial data. GAAP accounting experience required.
- Technical — Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Teams in particular) and willingness to learn new software programs.
- Excellent time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, organize, and work under shifting deadlines
- Language— Ability to read and interpret document such as procedure manual, work instructions. Ability to write reports and correspondence.
- Communication — Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with managers, subordinates, co-workers, vendors, and customers.
- Leadership — Demonstrate teamwork, mentorship, and customer service
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or minimum 5 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
Work Environment: For the most part the typical office environment includes ambient room temperatures, lighting, and traditional office equipment.
An offer of employment is conditional on a criminal and financial background check.

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
