Qlair is a unique startup within MANN+HUMMEL with the mission to monitor, report, and improve the air quality and HVAC optimization of commercial buildings. This is accomplished through an array of IoT devices installed on premise that measure air quality, filter dust load, and more. Qlair specializes in innovation within the market as we have built proprietary algorithms, text generation models, and have been granted a patent for our work in calculating airborne infection risk using air quality measurements from our IoT devices. We are looking for a Digital Product Owner to grow and shape our clean air platform. This is a unique opportunity to join an agile group and play a key role in the development of IoT end-to-end solutions for an industry leader.

- Work with internal and external customers to analyze the needs and align product roadmap to strategic goals.
- Lead Product Development team and manage product roadmap.
- Develop scope and define backlog items (epics/features/user stories) that guide the Agile software development team.
- Solve product-related problems, make decisions, complete trade-off analysis to stay on track towards business deliverable commitments.
- Possess a fundamental understanding of end-to-end customer experience integration and dependencies.
- Accountable for the created product(s), delivering in the product model and communicating the product needs with business partners.
- Act as an ambassador for the product internally and externally and as the primary contact for queries related to the product.
- Develop appropriately detailed specifications for the product features so they are clearly understood by the development teams.
- Represents team in front of stakeholders, clients or users.
- Work closely with Business Development team in order to create a product that fits the company portfolio.
- Identify key strategic initiatives, prioritize and asses technical and business viabilites to drive successful outcomes.
- Take responsibility for the digital product life-cycle from ideation and development to successful launch and maintained market success
- Implement voice of the customer (VoC) in designing and conceptualizing new features or innovations to enhance product life-cycle and revenue generation
- Define product KPIs and targets according to the overall business objective
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science
- 3+ years’ experience as Product Owner or other relevant roles
- Excellent decision-making skills
- Excellent understanding of customer needs, pain points and requirements
- Excellent understanding of cloud-based service products a plus
- Sufficient technical understanding of big data / Internet of things and web and mobile application development a plus
- Experience in data monetization business models
- Great communication skills with both, customers and internal stakeholders
- Agile mindset, customer driven and results oriented, ability to pivot
- Experience in Agile methods e.g., Scrum is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast pace and autonomous team
- Ability to execute decisions as a Product Owner
